How can we help you?
Buying or selling your home in Spain can be one of the most important decisions of your life. When moving from one place to another, your focus should be on the transition of your ongoing life, not on the small details of the transaction itself. At Coastlawfirm International Lawyers, we work with you through every step, from drafting or reviewing offers to representing you at closing. Whether you have a real estate agent or not, it is usually a good idea to have a lawyer in Spain review or draft your documentation to avoid future problems.
Throughout your transaction, we will pay close attention to your rights and responsibilities as a home buyer or seller. We understand that your situation is unique and we are more than willing to accommodate you. As your purchase in Altea or Javea or your sale on the Costa Blanca progresses, we will work closely with a local title company to properly handle the paperwork and ensure that your closing goes smoothly.
What are the legal documents required for the transfer of property in Spain?
Some of the most important documents for these types of transactions are as follows:
1) NIE a foreigner’s identification number, which is mandatory for buyers of Spanish property prior to the signing of the deed.
2) S.P.O.A. (Special Power of Attorney to act on your behalf) and represent you in all legal matters.
Please do not hesitate to contact our Spanish law firm as we can offer you advice on property transfer when buying a property in Spain and give you more details on the taxes and costs that will be incurred in the process of purchase.
